La Bierpinsel ("the beer brush"), as Berliners affectionately call the Turmrestaurant Steglitz, is a 47-meter-tall concrete structure that has become a true symbol of Berlin. Built between 1972 and 1976 in brutalist style, it was designated a protected monument in 2017. Over the years, several prominent graffiti artists have painted the building's exterior as part of the Turmkunst ("tower art") project, transforming it into a vibrant example of urban pop art.
La Bierpinsel ("il pennello da birra"), come i berlinesi chiamano affettuosamente la Turmrestaurant Steglitz, è un edificio in calcestruzzo alto 47 metri, divenuto un vero e proprio simbolo di Berlino. Costruito tra il 1972 e il 1976 in stile brutalista, è stato posto sotto tutela monumentale nel 2017.Nel corso degli anni, diversi importanti artisti di graffiti hanno dipinto l’esterno della struttura nell’ambito del progetto Turmkunst ("arte della torre"), trasformandola in un vivace esempio di pop art urbana.
